On November 8th at 14:00, the fourth student congress of the college was grandly held in the conference room 218 of the Graduate School. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Tan Tan, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Committee, Meng Zhen, counselors from all grades, Yuan Jintao, a member of the presidium of the third student union of the college, and all student representatives of the college gathered together to attend the grand event in the name of youth, to discuss the development plan of the college with a high-spirited attitude, and to inject vigorous momentum into the growth of youth and the construction of the college.
As the majestic and stirring "March of the Volunteers" was played, the conference officially kicked off. All attendees stood in silence to pay tribute, and the resounding singing echoed throughout the venue, not only showcasing the patriotic sentiments of the young scholars but also setting a solemn and inspiring tone for this youthful gathering.
At the beginning of the conference, Tan Tan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, delivered an opening speech. She first warmly congratulated on the successful convening of the conference and sincerely thanked all the staff who had worked hard to prepare for it. In her speech, based on the overall development of the college and the needs of the student organizations, she put forward two ardent expectations: First, we must adhere to the original mission of "serving teachers and students", deeply cultivate and work in key areas such as ideological guidance, campus culture construction, and student rights protection, actively explore new paths and methods of work, and continuously improve organizational cohesion and service efficiency; second, we must always have the "great cause of the country" in mind, actively integrate personal ideals into the overall development of the country and the great cause of national rejuvenation, inherit and carry forward the spirit of patriotic struggle, take solid learning as the foundation, innovative thinking as the wings, and practical training as the foundation, and strive to grow into innovative, composite, and applied talents who can be of great use and can shoulder heavy responsibilities.
Subsequently, the conference heard and deliberated on the "Work Report of the Third Student Committee of the School of Physics and Materials Science". Yuan Jintao, the chairman of the third student committee of the school, delivered a report on behalf of the committee. The report comprehensively reviewed the solid achievements made by the student committee in core areas such as ideological guidance and soul-building, rights and interests service and heart-warming, campus culture empowerment, and scientific and technological innovation activity improvement over the past period of time. It also clearly outlined the blueprint for future work, specifically stating that a three-dimensional ideological guidance system of "theoretical infiltration + practical tempering + role model leadership" will be established, a service pattern of "precise demand alignment + intelligent response to appeals + long-term rights and interests guarantee" will be created, characteristic campus cultural activities will be deeply cultivated, and the wisdom and strength of all students in the school will be continuously pooled to inject continuous youth momentum into the high-quality development of the school and the college.
The conference proceeded to the election phase, with all agendas strictly adhering to democratic procedures and advancing in a standardized and orderly manner. After deliberation by all delegates, the "List of Supervisors, Scrutineers, and Tally Clerks for the Fourth Student Representative Assembly Election of the School of Physics and Materials Science", "Election Method (Draft) for the Fourth Student Committee of the School of Physics and Materials Science", "Election Method (Draft) for the Fourth Student Union Presidium of the School of Physics and Materials Science", and "Election Method (Draft) for the Formal Representatives of the Thirteenth Student Representative Assembly of Nanchang University" were unanimously approved. Under the rigorous process of supervision by the scrutineers and counting by the tally clerks, the conference elected the Fourth Student Committee of the School of Physics and Materials Science, the Fourth Student Union Presidium, and the delegation of the School of Physics and Materials Science to the Thirteenth Student Representative Assembly of Nanchang University in accordance with laws and regulations, injecting new vitality into the continuous advancement of student work in the school and the cohesion of youth forces.
Accompanied by the stirring and heroic melody of the Nanchang University anthem "Boundless Prospects", the Fourth Student Representative Assembly of the School of Physics and Materials Science at Nanchang University successfully concluded all the scheduled agendas and came to a smooth end. The echoing melody not only served as a tribute to the successful convening of this assembly, but also embodied infinite longing for the future.
