College Holds Special Meeting on Student Affairs

Recently, the college held a special meeting on student affairs to further consolidate the foundation of student work and strengthen the campus security line of defense. The meeting reviewed the progress of student work in 2025 and studied and arranged key tasks for the next stage. Xu Jianqiang, Secretary of the College Party Committee, Tan Tan, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee, Yu Tianbao, Member of the College Party Committee, and all counselors of the Student Affairs Office attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Tan Tan and Yu Tianbao respectively summarized the daily management of undergraduate and graduate students in 2025. The meeting held that the college’s daily management and service for students in 2025 were generally stable and orderly, yet certain challenges remained. Going forward, all student affairs cadres shall continue to focus on issues such as online fraud, students’ psychological and emotional adjustment, laboratory safety, and cybersecurity, so as to effectively safeguard campus security and stability.

In his concluding speech, Xu Jianqiang fully affirmed the measures and achievements made by all student affairs cadres in ensuring student security and stability, and put forward clear requirements for follow-up work. He stressed that security and stability shall always be prioritized, with all work measures implemented in a solid and detailed manner.First, strengthen the work concept of prevention first, shift student safety management from post-incident handling to pre-incident prevention and front-end control, intensify cybersecurity publicity and education, and guide students to consciously build a strong ideological line of defense for cybersecurity.Second, maintain close teacher-student communication, improve supervisor-student relationships and provide positive guidance, unblock channels for students to voice opinions and demands, accurately grasp students’ ideological dynamics and actual needs, and respond to and resolve students’ concerns in a timely manner.Third, build a whole-staff education pattern, promote the formation of a student management and service system featuring full participation, whole-process tracking and all-round coverage across the college, pool work synergy, and jointly safeguard a safe and harmonious campus.

At the meeting, all student affairs cadres sorted out and reported on their student supervision work and existing potential safety hazards. Moving forward, the college will continue to conduct student education, management and services with higher standards, more practical measures and a stricter work style, so as to provide a solid guarantee for the high-quality development of the college’s undertakings.
